Is YouTube Sports Cards Dying?

A loyal newsletter subscriber hit me with a question last week:

“Hey, have you seen that Professor Sports Cards video, the one titled ‘Sports Card Channels Are Tanking… And No One Is Talking About It’?”

At the time, I hadn’t. Hadn’t even heard of the channel. But like any good sucker for a dramatic headline, I took the bait, clicked play, and settled in for what I assumed would be a graduate-level breakdown of the sports card YouTube apocalypse.

The premise? Creators are pulling fewer views today than they were during the pandemic and the boom years that followed.

Blink, blink… duh.
