RIP: Topps Drops Core Flagship Parallels
The hobby is buzzing over rumors that Topps has made a decision to eliminate several beloved flagship parallels, including Topps Black, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day parallels. We’ve reached out to confirm this rumor and have yet to recieve a confirmation from Topps. We did see/hear on multiple YouTube channels that Topps has confirmed and stated this move is aimed at streamlining flagship releases to align with Topps Chrome. At this time the rumor may be validated but we have yet to see or hear anything from Topps.
Topps Black was one of the longest-standing and most collected parallels, while the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day editions had strong collector followings. While change is part of the hobby, these parallels will be missed by collectors worldwide.
PSA Grading Backlog
PSA Grading announced on their Twitter/X.com account late Sunday, January 12, that they are officially experiencing a backlog. Bulk and Value-level orders seem to be the most affected, with delays potentially extending for several weeks. Many speculate the delays could stretch into months due to the high volume of submissions PSA likely received during their holiday specials.
